for a few days now a little calico has been visiting my grandma's backyard. most calico cats are usually female due to sex-linked genes (iirc), so i'll be referring to the kitty as she :3
she often comes in the mornings and afternoons for food and leaves at night, though we're not too sure where she goes off to. my mom is considering bringing her in and adopting her; we're all concerned for her safety, especially with the neighbours' dogs running around nearby. with last night's insane storm, i was so concerned she'd been hit with it and was a little worried this morning, but was glad to see that she was alright
sometimes she hisses softly when she sees anyone, though i'm not sure if that's from hostility or asking for food, or both. i'm not very well versed in cat behaviour, and miso isn't really a prime example of how a normal cat acts..
we'd been considering getting a friend for miso for a while now, since we're often not home during the day and she seems like she needs company. it'll take a little more time before the calico baby warms up to us, but hopefully all will go well, and we can give her a proper shelter :3 there's also a chance miso won't like having to share her space, but the only thing i have to go off on is the fact that she tries to push people off a sofa ten times the area she can physically occupy.
