experienced my first earthquake today ,it was kinda scary lol
was on yhe bed when i noticed a weird pop up on my siblings phone and it turned out to be an earthquake warning, and we reacted kinda slow lol
i only vaguely remember some earthquake basics like getting down and hiding under something sturdy so we did that, the whole building shaking was a little terrifying since this was of course my first time experiencing such a thing.
tried to call my parents but the call was barred, and later when i looked it up its apparently to prevent call congestion and allow emergency calls to get through. you learn somrthing new everyday!!
im thankful it wasnt too serious, though apparently it was an aftershock of a 7.6 magnitude earthquake somewhere in the sea. thats scary ！Σ(￣□￣;)
a little while after the earthquake stopped i realised i was still sort of shaking and it still felt like the building was swaying. the aftereffects are scary too .. im ok now lol
im really amazed at the engineering that allows the building to be intact even after literal ground shaking. ive only seen demonstrarions in videos but experiencing it in person is a whole other matter. its a little insane for me to think that this is a somewhat common occurence for people living here.
today was a really eventful day. first the flight cancellations and then the earthquake (*_*;
took a while but tomorrows flight is booked, and we got a hotel to stay at for the night. thankful i dont have to sleep on airport seats again ...
