i can do ski jumps now

4th and last day of skiing complete ＼(^_^)／ omg the dopamine hit from todays skiing session was insane
in the morning we went to a ski park with small ramps and flat boxes to slide over, which i think i did okay at the time (albeit with once again a lot of falling and also a near veering off into trees) (im ok)
i also skied down a red line (basically a more intermediate skiing path, usually steeper but still wide) for the first time this morning!! it was a challenge with lots of falling but i did it :3 our instructor was so supportive im so grateful
when we reached the bottom a mini snowball fight broke out and i found out that my aim was embarrassingly abysmal but i got snow in my shirt and thats totally fine not freezing cold at all
4 lunch we had pizza :0c the pizza was cut into weirdly unequal slices but it was kind of silly n quirky in a positive way. i like my pizza cut 7 slices all different sizes
the cheese also kept sliding off the slices, so i guess if u really think abt it its just pizza dough with a side of cheese and tomato sauce. or vice versa that works
then we had another snowball throwing session
in the afternoon we did a separate red line on the very top of the mountain that was way scarier because it was steep enough that u couldnt see the ground in some angles, just the far off town and mountain ranges. we skied down this one twice cuz we cool like dat
my blog entries that recount my experiences sound like a grade schooler writing in their diary but i digress
before dinner we hung around in a mini ski park right outside the resort entrance and i did some cool stuff on a pipe (lie i couldnt figure out how to angle my skis horizontally to slide across them)
at this time we had to say goodbye to our instructor and she gave us chocolate that was so yummy ... 🤤🤤 the best
ok here comes the part ive been dying to tell.. drumroll .. night skiing !! ( ≧∀≦)☆
special occassion to commemorate our last day ig
it was raining and by the end of it i was so soaked its crazy. imagine skiing in the rain im surprised my nose didnt fall off from the cold
we went back to the baby green slope and had a different instructor for the night. after 4 days of honing my skiing skills i was in awe at how easy the slope was now that id experienced the more challenging red lines. the amount of progress ice made was also a little unbelievable
anyways our new instructor was really fun :3 he taught us to jump while skiing and with ramps too
at first it was hard to control my speed and balance before the ramp and while in the air, and i kept falling on landing lol. i wasnt wearing my gloves (borrowed it to sibling who lost theirs) and no joke snow isnt very nice to scrape your hands on. luckily i got away without any scratches so rhats cool
but with a few more times down three different ramps along the slope i began to get the hang of it ^o^ the instructor advised me to keep my arms in the air like a tpose and that really helped with my stability in the air, so much so that i was able to go faster up the ramp and as a result get more air time. the accomplishment i felt after landing the last ramp is undescribable but i need yall to know im so proud of myself for it !!!!
im so glad we ended off with that night session; i dont think it wouldve been as memorable (not saying it wasnt already at all!!) if i hadnt accomplished such a feat. it might not be much but its definitely something worth celebrating to me.
while i wont be able to ski in my home country, i really hope i can go skiing again sometime soon 🙏 this is sounding more and more like a language class essay about "a day in the zoo" but skiing and its for a personal blog on my silly site. i digress again
but yea. its the most accomplished ive felt in a while and i really needed that, especially when i feel very inconfident about a lot of stuff in my life, especially my creative work. not to end by bringing the mood down a lil like that but u get me. this has been a long entry and its getting late so thats it :3 goosnight bonyou
