lesson of the day: if u value ur life dont go down a ski slope when you dont know how 2 brake going fast

it should be obvious but i severely underestimated how much it would take to brake when ur literally going five billion km/h, not that i managed to successfully do it anyway. if i had to stop i had to fall

i thought i was pretty set and ready to go since i was doing really good on the baby slope but look who almost veered off course trying to dodge people ..........

im ok tho. too good like that /j

my fingers and waist hurt rn. i was subconciously gripping my pole things so hard my thumbs hurt. i thought it was judt gonna be my legs but i used my entire body for this thing orz

i swear, it takes more energy to walk up a small slope than it does to ski downhill ( ´Д`)=3 u either slowly inch up the hill on ur skis (no-slipping not guaranteed) or you lug said skis while your poor arms and wrists protest under the weight. safe to say i will not be moving a milimeter tomorrow

ski boots are really weird to walk in tbh. im more used to skates; theyre so much easier to move around in, but i guess its because they arent as bulky as ski boots.

the ski lifts are very fun to ride actually. you dont really get on them, more like you fall onto them lol. might be a weird thing 2 say but i like getting off ski lifts, you sort of stand up from the lift and immediately start skiing, and i like the smoothness of the transition from sitting to skiing

there were lots of snowboarders too, and it seems really fun too, and if i had to be honest also a lot easier to move around on, as you can just leave on foot unstrapped. though im not going anywhere near a ski resort for the next 500 years. this burns more calories than i can hope to eat in a lifetime

ok now status report for the day: fall count x9(?) near death experience x2 (half joking. i dont want to know what wouldve happened if i fell into the forest)
