today i finally go around to trying out imagemagick, in which one can use a cli to manipulate images easily. i've been meaning to convert my photos to webp so i can upload them to my site here, but have also been wrestling with the issue where a bunch of online image converters either have a limit on the number of images i can convert at a time, or a daily limit, or they rotate all my images 90deg anticlockwise after conversion. you can understand my desperation, as someone with basically zero programming/computer science/it background, in trying out a completely new method.
okay, sure. i'll just look up some tutorials online... wait, the commands they're giving me don't work! let me look up the error .. the answers they gice cant be applied to my situation at all?? fine, i'll watch a video tutorial. huh, how are they doing that..?? theyre using mac..
as you can probably tell, im a bit stuck.
when it comes to learning anything, whether that be a new art medium, javascript, or blender, a quick google search or youtube tutorial never failed me. but it seems i have severely underestimated cli ...
so far, with the help of this tutorial, i've only managed a "cd pictures" and ".\picture.jpg" to pull up said picture in a window. yay me!
as for the rest of the tutorial, i havent got to that yet lol. i promptly decided to take a well earned brrak after scouring the whole webs for a tutorial i could understand. will update with my progress soon hopefully xd
anyways, merry xmas and happy holidays everyone!! have an awesome rest of the year if youre reading this the date i write this, or just an awesome time in general if not ( ^-^)ノ∠※。.:*:・'°☆
