ik in my first (and only, until now) skiing blogpost i said i wasnt gonna go near a ski resort for another 500 years, but somehow 500 years have already passed and ive just finished my 3rd out of a 4 day skiing trip. one more day to go and im sad about having to leave am i insane (no)
to give some context my school organised a skiing trip to hakuba in japan and well ...... skiing and japan my two favourite things (one of them may or may not be a lie)
on the first day at the resort we watched taiko drum and dance performances that we organised in celebration of the resort's 55th snow season anniversary :0 it was so cool
then we had a fireworks show that was by far the most amazing ive ever seen, and thats saying alot considering i see a lot of fireworks every new year & cny
good news: im way better at skiing now than when i first did it in hokkaido last year. we have an amazing instructor and im amazed at how much i improved in these 3 days :3 we went down a relatively narrow route from the top of a mountain all the way down today which i definitely would not have been able (or confident enough) to try on the first day. yippee !!
bad news: my muscles are killing me
its kinda ironic because im never gonna actually have a chance to ski once i go back home so like. yay for learning something i wont be able to do without flying 1000hours to see snow
if ur wondering abt my fall count i lost track after the first 2 hours on the first day youre welcome
also i realised everything in preparation for skiing is way more energy consuming than skiing itself (at my noob level anyway). aside from climbing slopes which u dont do very often once u get down the basics to go up the higher slopes and use ski lifts, everything from traversing across flat ground to carrying around the skis to even wearing the shoes is hell of a workout and im not sure from which of those my body is sore from lmaoaoaoo
but anyways. gonna miss skiing lol funny
