a little update for my art project! i've mostly finished with prep 1 and am barely halfway through prep 2, but im skipping ahead with prep 3's artist studies just because it seemed less intimidating. somehow.
this took an hour to get here..

not the most accurate proportions wise, but im hoping the examiners will overlook that. it's more about the technique study in this case, after all ;p but other than that im pretty satisfied with how its looking! it's a lot of detail, so its taking quite a while. after this i also have to apply the technique to my own illustration, so im both excited and scared about that ;; excited because it might turn out really cool and scared because it might not lmao
anyhow, it's much more fun than slogging through boring subject matter studies, and especially with my long-dried poster paint, the speed is no faster.. i've also yet to do an a3 size self portrait for prep 2 and need to retake the reference picture for that one, but haven't found myself the motivation to charge my camera to do that yet.
i have until this friday at most to hopefully be able to roughly finish up to prep 3 before the new semester starts, which im especially nervous about, with my slower than slow progress. but progress nonetheless.
that said, i haven't updated my teacher for a few days now because i don't know how to explain why i skipped prep 2... hahahahahahelp
